Fescue

Fescue is a deep-rooted evergreen grass that grows in clumps. It has a dark green call. Tall Fescue can be used as a general-purpose lawn grass.

Tall Fescue is a cool season grass that prefers the milder temperatures of spring and fall. It doesn't tolerate the higher soil temperatures that sometimes reach 80 or higher, and doesn't do well in extended air temperatures that reach into the 90s.

Does require consistent mowing and irrigation during the hot summer months and needs a regular schedule of fertilization in spring and fall.
